This Whitby accommodation is a spacious and comfortable one bed apartment located a short walk from all of the hustle and bustle of Whitby's town centre and cliff top. Situated on the second floor of a well maintained modern apartment block, this apartment has views across to the Abbey from both the lounge and bedroom.
Upon entering the apartment you are greeted with a hallway which includes a mirror, shoe and coat rack as well as a console table. This is the ideal place to leave your outdoor gear.
Through a door off to the right you will find a fully fitted kitchen, a dining area with a table and 4 chairs, and lounge with a sofa and armchair. This space is perfect for relaxing, reading a book, listening to the DAB radio, playing one of the many board games provided or watching the flat screen tv that is mounted on the wall. The patio doors can be fully opened allowing you to bring the outside in and take in the wonderful views across Whitby's rooftops to the iconic Abbey.
The kitchen has a coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven, washing machine, kettle and toaster.
Space is not an issue in the bedroom which is over 18 feet long. There is a chest of drawers as well as 2 built in wardrobes, allowing you to fully unpack and make yourself at home. There is a large mirror with plugs conveniently next to it for drying hair and each side of the bed has a small table and light mounted on the wall for evening reading.
The stunning feature wallpaper showcases illustrations inspired by local buildings and the king size bed has a pocket sprung memory foam mattress. Many previous guests have commented on how comfortable the bed is! Like the lounge, the bedroom also includes patio doors and at night you can pull across the black out curtains for the perfect nights sleep.
The bathroom has a shower over a large bath, ideal for relaxing in after an adventurous day on the North Yorkshire coast. There is a heated towel rail and the entire apartment is heated via underfloor heating.
Whitby is a popular and picturesque seaside town with many independent shops, cafes and bars as well as historic landmarks and a beautiful beach.
Check in to the apartment is from 3pm and check out is by 10am. If there are no guests checking out on the day your stay commences, there may be the opportunity to arrive sooner, but please work on the assumption you will have access to the place from 3pm.
The apartment is located on Upgang Lane and this road has lots of free on-street parking. If no space is available then there is a large long stay car park one minutes walk around the corner just off Crescent Avenue. This car park is free to park in from the 1st November until 28th February; charges apply at all other times of year.
Other nearby streets with completely free parking are Chubb Hill and Stakesby Road.
Unfortunately the apartment itself does not have a designated parking space.
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor and can be accessed via stairs or lift. If the lift is used then the property has step free access from the pavement or road outside to the apartment interior. The apartment is all on one level.
If you have an infant and intend to bring them with you then this is absolutely welcomed. There is a travel cot (with detachable bassinet) available for you to use. It is stored in the hallway cupboard. Please take a look at the photos to see an image of this.
The apartment building has a no pet policy so I'm afraid you won't be able to bring an animal with you.
